Not that we needed any more animals in our lives - I mean, you would think that 2 dogs, 7 cats and 4 horses would be enough, but this little guy has managed to wriggle his way into the fold. He will probably be blind in one eye and just needed a home where he will be loved for who he is and not what he looks like.
Nothing as cute as a sleeping puppy.
The little guy wake up

and shows off his sweet face.

So everybody - say hello to Spike.
I figured he needed a tough name since this little guy is going to have a bit of a rough road to walk.

what a little sweetie! I'm so glad that he's found a loving family to take him in.
You're Awesome with a capital AAAAA for taking home a special needs puppy.
Of course, my pet population has stabilized since my youngest daugher got her own home. She was the biggest rescue person in the family!!
Oh, and Spike definately suits him! I see that little LOOK in his eye!
One of our little foundlings who passed away a year ago was a Chihuahua who was losing her sight, but by the time that it had progressed, she knew every inch of our house and the fenced yard perfectly and never bumped into things. We DID have to build little side rails on the ramp I made for her to get in & out of bed, so she wouldn't fall off. Special needs dogs are wonderful! Congratulations.
And Ruth - a special award for you, too, and your herd! Good luck with the wind and cold. All the best to you.
