I don't bake, just this cookie & PUMPKIN Cheesecake and only in a real emergency!
This is a great dessert for kids to help you make!
I love these I think it's the choclate chip cookie plus the cream cheese, and the fact I serve the cookies chilled from the refigerator so the filling is ice cold.
People think the cookies are filled with ice cream!
Once in a while I get slightly ambitious after slicing the cookies and I roll the cookie's cut sides in crushed nuts, jimmies, or chocolate chips, but only one in a while. ;-)
My family goes crazy over these. If I need a dessert to take to a party & my husband can't bake I bake this! No one can ever believe how easy the recipie is.
Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Bars
2 Rolls/Tubes of chocolate chip cookies -freeze for 1 hour so they are easier to slice
2 8 Oz. packages Cream Cheese softened
1 teaspoon of Vanilla
1/2 cup sugar.
Use a 11x13 spayed with nonstick spray. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Slice 1 roll/tube cookies lay in bottom of cake pan
Mix vanilla sugar & cream cheese until well blended & slightly fluffy, then spread over bottom layer of cookie dough.
Slice frozen cookie dough and place on top of cheese layer.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
Slice into bars, keep in refigerator if not using right away.
