A Poem on Iraq for Mr. Bush

Mr. President, I think you owe us an apology

For one day, long ago, you declared "Victory!"

Now that idea is ancient history,

especially if you happen to be Iraqi!

Victory for us and for them would mean peace

but instead we've awakened quite a beast!

So as the rockets fall and the bombs blow,

can you at least acknowledge we've hit a new low?

sad, but quite true. maybe america should work on helping our own country before we go to "help" others.
