Iran was top news for awhile, but then the media tired of it, much like Katrina. Because the US doesn't have any diplomatic ties to Iran, we are left to the mercy of other nations to negotiate for us. It's not a matter of blaming or not blaming anyone, it's a matter of getting in there and trying to work with folks or standing back and saying we refuse to recognize your country. I am not saying we should be soft on Iran (or Cuba or anyone else the US doesn't recognize). but refusing to deal with people is no solution either.

Thank you for the links. Unfortunately, Bush is involved in this though because he is the president of the US and the US is involved and the world is watching what we do. I am happy to see that there is so much support for just letting things chill, that's my take on it too,Both China and Russia offer a great deterrent to nuke paranoia madness and a good support for letting things "chill". Israel however,is feeling really threatened right now and expects us to be their ally and so the pressure is still on to deal with things, and I just hope it stays controllable.

This is the kind of thing that really makes me angry...all and every American company that has any business happening with that country needs to pull the plug with in 30 days...we also need to put embargo or what ever its called on any imports, or travel business to this country. . . will it be costly - you bet it will but which is the lesser of two evils...and some of the business community should have thought about this sort of thing when they go over to other foreign countries to build plants and save money and provide working incomes for all the others...our quality of life sucks and we have created a Pandora's box in trying to be everything to everyone else, when we haven't got it under control here...I will never understand this process....look at the immigration mess we have with Mexico...and how many companies have sent plants and extended business there?...We can't even get Mexico to help control the borders...plain dumb to me. Just confirms to me that you may have the credentials to run a business, but not a country and corporate America needs to take some ot the responsibility for bad decisions to reduce the labor force here, to save money and profits for the shareholders...too much for too few will never creat a balance - it will always come back and bounce us in the face...only who really gets hurt?

Our best bet is to do all we can to counter the current threat of islamofascism, and keep the heat on China in the UN to take action against Iran, and No. Korea as well.
