I really should know better. Especially with a vulnerable cat in the house. But my Christmas cactus was beginning to bloom and I wanted it in the house, instead of in the garage. That was two nights ago, and about two hours after bringing it in, the first yellowjacket emerged from its hiding place in the confines of the plant. I deluded myself that it was the only one in the cactus, but this morning another took flight like a WW I Sopwith Camel and made straight for the bright light of the window. Poor thing. It was sent on to bee heaven right away. Guess the cactus might have to go back in the garage. Darn it
!
