I've been away. "Come down" said my son "I'll take you to see James Bond". How could I resist - a chance to see son, daughter-in-law, granddaughter - and James. The journey was worth it to see Rosie's smile - and James was good too.
I came back to messages on my phone from my other granddaughter asking for my help with a project. She had to interview an older person about historical events lived through and the feelings they had evoked - oh! and she loves me lots.
I came back to a letter telling me that I had won the Lottery. No. it won't change me. I shan't leave Gather. My winnings came to roughly $15. After much thought I decided to splash out on some celebratory ice-cream.
I came back to some encouraging Gather comments. It's lovely to know that life doesn't stop when I leave for a while. It was a nice surprise to discover that I no longer have to sign in and there are other Gather changes which make the experience more pleasurable.
I came back to the news that my charity project for the National Library for the Blind has netted another $2000 and my new project is beginning to bear fruit.
There are times when life is just... nice.
