Caring, creative and organized Gather member Janelle M. is the recipient of this week's
'Spirit of Community' Member Award !
Janelle was selected for her outstanding efforts in coordinating the Thanksgiving 'Cyber Feast' for Gather members on Thanksgiving Day. Janelle contacted me several weeks ago with her idea for providing a cyber celebration for those members unable to celebrate Thanksgiving among friends and family. Her caring and consideration of others during this holiday period, and contributing the 'feast' to the NOCH charity, exemplifies the 'Spirit of Community' and the selfless efforts which help build and strengthen a community like Gather.
Congratulations Janelle!...and thanks for everything you do!

About the 'Spirit of Community' Member Award
It takes more than exceptional content to create a vibrant, active community like Gather. It also needs the contributions of members that strengthen the Gather community and foster a welcoming, supportive and positive atmosphere for others.
Community building on Gather can be just as important as the content we publish, and merits acknowledgement, and a little applause from time to time.
Therefore, I identify one Gather member each week who symbolizes these characteristics, and acknowledge their community building efforts through the 'Spirit of Community' Member Award.
Awards are announced each Friday, and will appear as the featured article in the 'Spirit of Community' Member Awards Group.
Nominations are more than welcome. If you know of an individual member, like Janelle, that exemplifies the spirit of our community here on Gather, please publish your nomination to the group, or send me a mail message.
You may subscribe or join the 'Spirit of Community' Member Awards group using the buttons below.
Thank you.

Again...way to go Janelle!
WTG Janelle - thank you for creating the Thanksgiving Cyber Feasts! People really appreciated it. Gather can be SUCH a great, loving, friendly place.
Congratulations Janelle!
I really would have like to have been here for the event. I am very sorry that I missed it! I'll bring a dish to pass next year for sure!
Marilyn :)
Every time I get on gather I learn about more wonderful people. It's hard to keep up with it all....I wish I had known about the Cyber Feast earlier! I love that kind of stuff! I often have "Virtual-Happy-Hours" using chat with my cyberfriends that are scattered and they are a blast (I always buy several rounds of cyber-drinks and appetizers for everyone!) It sounds like you're a very caring person and I'm looking forward to getting to know you!
