I was wondering, how many here do the My Points site? Read email, get points...shop online, get points...do surveys--you get the picture.
Well, there's a nice way to combine Gather with My Points: write here, get points...get Barnes and Noble gift cards....use them at My Points...EARN more points...get gift cards for dining, shopping, etc! Win-win all the way!
I was able to take my family to Red Lobster--a major treat, here (even tho' I can't stomach the food :( ). And this past week, we went to The Olive Garden. I've also gotten cards for Target/Walmart and Old Navy! It helps, all the way around. I may not be a major writer, my poetry only in minor publications....but my writing's still paying off!
By the way...if you want a link, I wouldn't mind earning some referral points, too ;D.

I mainly do the surveys and read the email. If you go in and do the whole profile thing, and update it now and then, you get points for that too. Also, I receive from pretty much every offer they have, so the points add up that way.
As for it taking, usually you'll get a confirmation email from the site. Mine took awhile, because I had 3 gift cards I was redeeming, so I had to pay by phone.
