You know I really think it is because men do not have all the "worry" imbedded in them that mothers do. We are emotional creatures geared to the constant need to satisfy and meet their needs. Men are logical so there is not all those stress vibrations coming out of them, and so they make natural sedatives for our little bundles of joy. Does this make sense?
Hi, Wendy! Thank you so much for posting this article and these CUTE pictures to my group, I really appreciate it. I love pictures like this, so adorable and so sweet. Unfortunately our baby doesn't like to fall asleep with daddy because daddy doesn't realize you're supposed to keep the lights off at night when you're trying to put the baby back to sleep. My husband has actually only gotten up with him one time since he's been born (4 months ago) but that's all it took. Now Rylan thinks it's playtime if daddy is around.
great pictures.....I think men can put babies to sleep because that is their special gift to mothers...they are warm, secure and feel snuggly to babies...that and Love says it all! :-)
We secretly drug them, ha ha. I never really thought about that before, but I remember teasing my wife about it. I thought it was coincidence, but you have me wondering now.
I think it's because the babies since the fear the men have of holding them. They figure I better fall alseep so my mommy can hurry up and get me again.!!
Oh man, I WISH mine could put our baby to sleep. Just once in a while... just once, even! I don't think he really gets babyhood, and as someone else said, the concept of keeping the lights off and being somewhat quiet is lost on him. To be fair though, he's getting better as she gets older.
