If you are in the nursing profession or are friends with someone who is, then you know that we have a morbid sense of humor. Well, at least most of the nurse's do that Iv'e worked with over the years. There are a few who don't have a sense of humor at all. I worked with an R.N. (lets just call a her Dorcus) for two years, and I have never seen her smile. She is such a bitch! One night she spilled her coffee and instead of walking to the linen closet which was ten feet away from her, she walked a hundred feet down the hall to get me to clean it up.
I decided a few days later that I would freak her out so bad that she would leave me alone. I came up with a plan that would do that, and I wouldn't lose my job in the process.
I got a large diaper from a patient's room , then I partly chewed a Baby Ruth and put it in the diaper. I waited until 2:00 a.m. when I knew she would be finished with her rounds, and just starting to eat her lunch. and I headed to the dining room.
With the diaper in hand I walked up to her and said in a concerned voice, "Mr. Johnson's bowel movement looks really strange." I opened the diaper and showed it to her. "It looks like peanuts doesn't it?" I asked her. She nodded her head, wrinkling her nose in distaste.
I put my finger in it and dug out a big chunk. "Don't touch it!!!" She said with disgust. I put it in my mouth and started chewing it. "It is peanuts, here you taste it," I said as I tried to hand her the diaper. She jumped up from the chair and backed away from me. She kept shaking her head from side to side saying "NO"......"NO"....."NO."
I never had anymore problems with her after that. She wouldn't even talk to me unless she absolutely had to. Sometimes I would catch her looking at me with a look of revulsion on her face. To this day, whenever I think about her reaction, I crack up laughing.
