I think the greatest gift I have ever given was a random act of kindness.
Do you believe in random acts of kindness?
Do you believe in practicing them at all?
I believe in doing random acts of kindness for others. Trying daily to pass it on, if I can. I try to give what is needed at that moment.
It would be hard to define my favorite act of kindness, but I believe it would be when we were a very young family years ago just starting out. Someone mailed me a 100.00 grocery store gift card. I was in new town far from any family. I still have no idea, to this day, on who really did that for my family. It meant so much at the time. I have never forgotten.
I am not rich, or even close now but I am okay. Last holiday season I did that for someone else. In the same way for a friend of a friend, who will never know who did it.
Inside the card I wrote, "Because I know someday you will do this for someone else".
The person asked my friend," Who could of done something so nice for us, when we know no one in this town?" My friend replied, "There are angels everywhere."
Maybe there are angels everywhere. I don't know. Random acts of kindness are catching.
I'm glad to have been able to help someone, even in such a small way. Sometimes small things make all the difference.

I loved that link Debra, and the quote at the top if the page.
Acts Of Kindness
"The highest reward for a person's toil
is not what they get for it, but what
they become by it" - John Ruskin
I believe in doing both random and deliberate acts of kindness. Both are positive in my book.
