Facial Moisturizer, with Mango Butter
Ingredients:
3 Tablespoons Mango Butter
1 Tablespoon Jojoba Oil
A couple drops of an essential oil that is good for skin, or an infusion like calendula, essentials of rose, sandalwood, patchouli, geranium or you don't really need any.
.5% preservative
Directions:
Melt 3 Tablespoons of mango butter in a small pot on the stove, or in the oven in a glass pan.
(make sure the mango butter temperature reaches 180 degrees.)
Remove from heat.
Add 1 Tablespoon of Jojoba Oil. (golden)
Add drops of essential oil, if desired.
Add .5% of a preservative, I use LiquiPar Optima, but there are others.
Stir.
Pour into a small container.
Let cool. This will end up being the consistency of frosting.
To thin product add 1 teaspoon of jojoba oil. (if you need to)
Use sparingly. Put it on your hand and rub it in, then apply to you face.
** This recipe may be doubled or tripled or even more as long as you stick to the ratios listed. For a gift, put it in a small, maybe one ounce jar and tie a ribbon around it with the directions listed on it :)
