This is a kind of neat stocking stuffer or a gift to add-on to a gift basket.
Ingrediants:
Two heat seal tea bags - OR - two muslin draw string bags, small sized.
Ribbon
Lavender Buds or another Herb of choice (ex. Peppermint herb, Spearmint, or blend some)
Lavender Essential Oil (or the corresponding essential oil if you're using a different herb)
Take the two bags, if they're the heat seal, fill each about halfway with the lavender buds, or other herbs, put a few drops of essential oils into each. Iron the open side shut. Take the ribbon and attach the two bags together, leaving a length large enough to reach into two shoes that you're not wearing.
If you're using the muslim bags, which I prefer for this, just tie them tightly together, they come with a draw string. Drape them in each shoe for scent and deodorizing.
Makes a cute small gift, but I'd make up a few as people like these. And make a few for yourself too!

My teens shoes shall be attacked in the night.....
I use the herbal sachets in our drawers, but not the store-bought potpourris, I'm allergic to the synthetic fragrances they use, the real thing is nicer, deodorizes and smells better anyways and are easy to make too.
I can imagine sneakers getting "attacked" in the night! That's hilarious!
Robin, I have herbs in our closets too, everything smells nice :) And the herbs are good for you anyways! Hang them right off one of your hangers ;) Ok, so I never thought of the hooks! lol
