As of 5:15 pm (pacific) I am at 50,161 words! I am still working on my novel because the story is not finished. I think it will take me another 3-5,000 words to finish it up. But I have reached the goal!
This goal became incredibly important to me as things all around me grew out of my control. I really needed to show myself that I could take control of something...and I did!
So now I open my favorite wine and have a drink. Tomorrow I begin working on the rest of my novel!

I'm still in the game... if I don't loose too much more ground in this last week, that is.
Good luck! I'm still working on getting to the end of my story, but I am not working very hard at it. The toughest part is yet to come and I simply cannot put myself through it yet. But I am confident that it will come this weekend. I expect to be typing "The End" by Sunday or Monday. I hope. That will be such a good feeling.

I fell behind a bit (I'm at 37,733 words now -a bit less then 3K behind) due to the holidays and the new chapter that was due to be published for my online series. Things come up, so there's not much I can do but cram a lot of writing in and catch up. :-)
Good luck wrapping it all up, and please keep us all posted when you do get those two magical words typed up. :) I'll be sure to let you know when (and if) I make it to both the 50K mark and getting my two magical words written as well.
