I am hosting a lovely virtual Thanksgiving Gathering and the guest of honor is Bonnie L.
So what are you bringing to the party?
I am bringing pumpkin pie, monopoly, and some hot chocolate with marshmellows.

bonnie!! come on in!!
Honey, honey!! Can it have the little chef hat things that tom and jerry would playwith on the cartoon that go on hte legs?
(and how do I get myself invited to Dana's parties? Just asking... )
Great friends, delicious food and a fantastic hostess -- what a perfect holiday feast!!!
I was thinking of bringing the turkey (not me, ha ha!) but since Honey Baby has that covered, I'll have to think of something else...
I can't wait to try Jessie's swiss chard, sauteed in olive oil and garlic, and of course those yummy garlic mashed potatoes that Faith's bringing ... Kathryn's got the stuffing covered (and I love asparagus!) ... that banana split cheese cake sounds wonderful ... hmmmm, there seems to be plenty of alcohol but I'll bring some more wine, just to be sure we don't run out -- but watch out, I'll be grabbing the mic from Paula! And Lord only knows what Dana has in mind with that tequila and handcuffs, but sounds like one helluva party!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, I'm here now so pour me a glass of wine and let's get it goin!
*hic*
I think folks got tired of waiting for me and left, but now we need to call them back so we can get this thing going.
Anyway -- H A P P Y Day Before T H A N K S G I V I N G!!
**Better known as CD (Cooking Day) LOL!
Whyyyyyyyyyy do you build me up (build me up) Buttercup, baby
Just to let me down (let me down) and mess me around
And then worst of all (worst of all) you never call, baby
When you say you will (say you will) but I love you still
I need you (I need you) more than anyone, darlin'
You know that I have from the start
So build me up (build me up) Buttercup, don't break my heart
I'll be over at ten", you told me time and again
But you're late, I wait around and then
I went to the door, I can't take any more
It's not you, you let me down again
(Hey, hey, hey!) Baby, baby, try to find
(Hey, hey, hey!) A little time and I'll make you mine
(Hey, hey, hey!) I'll be home
I'll be beside the phone waiting for you
Ooo-oo-ooo, ooo-oo-ooo .....
I'm a terrible cook, so I will bring over something special: when I first joined Gather, I read an article Bonnie wrote, and it inspired this little poem, which I dedicated to Bonnie:
So many articles make up the whole
Endlessly trying to fill in the hole
Building the puzzle one piece at a time
Some work with prose, some others with rhyme
Do we write out our problems in hopes of solution
Or write once we've managed to find resolution?
Some say too many cooks spoil the soup,
Others prefer seeking help from the group.
A puzzle indeed, with pieces galore
With each hole we fill we discover three more
The answer is out there, but I'd bet my socks
We're working with pieces from more than one box.
...And Dannielle, you should publish that poem. It's too good to be hiding in a comment!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Who is ready for leftovers?
Are yall STILL playing trivial pursuit???
I'm ready for leftovers - whatya got?
hmmm. Turkey soup anyone?????
But I'm tired of Trivial Pursuit, where's Marsha and her poker cards and beer nuts?
Are we playing for beer nuts?
