Online Shopping Help -- Ann Taylor dress

This is kind of a strange plea for help, but my boyfriend and I have decided to actually venture out for New Year's this year and I need a new dress. I love Ann Taylor clothing and just found this dress on sale -- it's available in stores, but I'm not currently living anywhere near a decent mall and can't check it out in person. Has anyone seen this dress in person? Better yet, has anyone tried it on and can give me a "review" of the cut and is this worth taking the risk and ordering?

Thanks so much for your help -- sorry if this is a weird article, but I couldn't think of anything better than the Gather community to help out on this one.

Do they have a return policy you could deal with? Like, if you hated the dress, could you ship it back to them for a refund? Its possible if you love the dress but it doesn't fit well you could get it tailored.

In general I really like Ann Taylor...I've never bought a dress there but I love their suits. I do find that they have "vanity sizing" though.

I agree, they do tend to use vanity sizing. I think I may just take the risk -- the sale price really makes it very affordable.

I did get the dress... I actually ended up putting off the purchase for a while and then buying it for $57 around Christmas time... I wore it to a New Year's Ball 2007 and may have to find another use for it one of these days.
