Shattered~50 Worder

She sat at the computer, looking at the monitor, not believing what she was seeing.  How could this have happened? She knew him better but now this.  Again her faith in her trust was shattered.  Her heart was ripped open.  She sat shaking her head and trying to steady herself.

Thank you for the comments, Clay but that would actually change my meaning, or the latter one, anyway. The "her faith in her trust" is definitely not well worded but it is takling about the faith she had in herself to be able to trust after a pervious betrayal. Now this dream partner has betrayed her so it is a different betrayal that is causing her to doubt that she can or should trust (anyone).

Perhaps I should have thought more about it before publishing it. I am just shaking. This just happened hours ago and I've not slept or been able to think of much.

Joanne, thank you. Funny thing is just yesterday I posted a little bit about how I had healed from the first betrayal and was now beginning to trust again. Now this. Life sucks.

Robin, what hurst most at the moment is that this man is going through a really tough time in his entire life, all aspects of it. I think it is something like a mid life crisis but far worse. I know some of what is behind it. So now I found out, in the wee hours, that he is into somethings and people that show me he is not himself. He is not thinking rationally, or perhaps not thinking at all. I do love this man, whether he comes back to me or not. I will always love him. That's why it hurts so much.

Thank you, David. It seems that there is a cosmic conspiracy to bring me down when I most want to be up. I am trying to work on my novel but I can't concentrate. I am seriously thinking of buying a plane ticket to some place and locking myself in a hotel room with no internet. But I have no where to go.

I hear you loud and clear. Writers block goes along with a broken heart but use the dark side and remember wherever you are, you'll still be there. This is all too relatable. I could hear your sobs as you wrote this cause some bastard crapped on you. Just listen to Gloria Gaynor's 'I will Survive" and maybe you'll cheer up a little. It works for me. My thoughts are with you...
