the fox news channel charges a relatively high fee to the cable companies. so your cable company might be negotiating with fox or has decided not to pay the fee and suffer the fox viewers' calls.
ask your local cable provider about it, if you want to watch fox.

the major cable carrier (at the time) here in arizona dropped fox for 2 weeks but they couldn't handle the calls from the fox viewers, so they decided to pay the price and pass it along to the consumers.

I, like Leah, love the BBC. I sometimes watch MSNBC and C-Span...in-between these two was FOX NEWS...in surfing from MSNBC to C-SPAN I discovered that Fox was gone and the BBC was in it's slot. HELLO, BBC...good riddance FOX!

I have plenty of Christian programming and none of them have anything to do with the War Network (FOX NEWS). Let the praise begin!!!

No, I have OneLink...it's a new cable outlet...and I love them. It really doesn't matter, though, I never watched FOX NEWS, but, I have the BBC.

Same here, Joy, and also cox cable, and their contract is coming up and guess how many years they want? Fifteen years! I'm really hoping someone else, anyone else, any other cable company bids for the contract too.

I assume that, like everyone (including me), you are a complex mixture fact and opinion, with toe holds on some parts of Reality, and a bit of error that snuck its way in, somehow--in spite of your efforts to avoid such mistakes.

Having got the point, I looked at your last three articles, and I see that I agree with your positions on FOX, neoconservatism (accent on 'CON'), and Bush. A brief scan of your other titles leads me to think that you and I are on the same page about politics in general.

Yes, we disagree rather strongly about the Darwin thing, that is true. And I still maintain that arguments from authority are patently unscientific. In the interest of unity, and as per your suggestion, I will post an article detailing my thoughts on these two issues. I don't expect that I will be able to give any "knock down" arguments to the Faithful, since logic, evidence and empiricism are not the "stuff" of faith--although the Faithful love to bring up such items as they can find to argue the rest of the world into accepting their beliefs.

However, I think such tactics are not the avenues by which they, themselves, came upon their beliefs. I really don't know about you, but the feel of your position on Evolution leads me to conclude that you are trying to support a pre-existing Biblical view, a theistic one.

Am I mistaken? If this is false, and speciation cannot be accounted for via the Darwinian paradigm, then what is the alternative, non-theistic explanation?

Anyway, this thread is not the forum for such arguments, so if you choose to answer me, I won't expect it on this thread.

The past couple of days I've been thanking my God...Jesus Christ...for his love and for His always being there for me...it's Thanksgiving...I always try to get a jump on my thanksgiving. I'm really grateful to Jesus...he's always been very good to me...and believe me...I don't deserve it. I'm raw and ghetto and up-in-people's-grill and just plain ornery, but, that's me...I really mean well. The boxer in me just refuses to quit.

Really not interested in debating over something as inane a Darwin's Monkey Theory...seriously now...I've plants to water and a life to get on with...I think the baby needs a diaper change...got to go.

I do agree with you on Turner Classic Movies. That alone is worth the price of cable (or dish, which is what I have) but Felix, Darwin isn't the problem. There are too many religions for them all to be "right" or "true." You should know enough of logic to recognize that all of them can be wrong.

Any creation postulate suffers from this basic problem.

Did I say TV is not inane? I just said I like Turner Classic Movies. (Except when they are playing Doris Day Movies. They bore me.)

TV is entertainment and sometimes it rises to the level of art. The Food Channel, The History Channel, Discovery, etc. aren't inane they're quite often instructive and educational. The Monkey Theory is just plain silly and not even in a funny way.

Most religions are creationist...our disagreements lie elsewhere.

Have it your way, Felix. But don't suffer under any illusions that you and the Creationist camp have provided a less silly alternative. (Although, I'd have to grant that some of their arguments are VERY funny! Absurd to an artistic degree, even.)
