Beryl Reading and signing books at Brookdale Library November 21

I will be reading from my memoir, The Scent of God , at the Hennepin County Brookdale Library in Brooklyn Center MN on Tuesday, November 21, 7 pm.

I'd love to meet Gatherers in the area and am hoping to see you there. The Library will be selling books for me to sign after the reading.

If you can't make it for the event but would like me to sign a copy of your book, I am sending free for the asking, beautiful signed bookplates I've had made specially for this purpose. Send me an email with your name and address. If you want plates for gift giving, remember to also include the name of the recipient. Thank you.

Yes, Clay. You may certainly send me a copy of your book to sign. I am so pleased to hear that there are more Beryl's around the United States. They seem to predominate in England (where my mother came from). Then there are those great ladies of literature Beryl Markham and Beryl Bainbridge.

Aileen, I am hoping to do more traveling when the paperback comes out in April. The publisher doesn't pick up the tab for this (they sent me to San Francisco but not to LA; to Chicago but not to Denver; to Boston but not to Greenville or Washington) so I will see if I can work in trips to those areas where Gatherers gather.

Beryl, I attended your talk at the Brookdale Library last night. Thank you so much for a fascinating evening. I am telling everyone I know about your wonderful memoir. I was happy to find this blog today. I am eagerly awaiting your next book.
