In response to: What is one thing your area could use less of?
Sometimes bad ideas are empowered, sometimes it seems that bad ideas have been put into office. The "one in a million" type of brilliant ideas don't have their day when majority rule isn't tempered with responsibility and "common" sense! But what I sometimes find troublesome are the bad ideas that sway the masses, the ideas that will undermine my efforts, or that somehow make life unpleasant in general. I'm not going to name names or particulars right now, but I think that many of you will get my message. "Stupidity" doesn't deserve "its fair share" of our existence.
Later, I sent an e-mail to a group of friends with some additional points:
According the NMHA "More than 54 million Americans have a mental disorder in any given year, although fewer than 8 million seek treatment (SGRMH, 1999)."
http://www.nmha.org/infoctr<wbr>/factsheets/15.cfm
I suggested greater awareness of "personality disorders" with an online test that I came across , and suggested something unspeakable: screening potential business and dating partners.
I don't expect much of humanity, but we've made it farther than my
more cynical estimations had led me to forecast when I was
younger.

Whose quote is this? If it is your own words, please let me know. For I hereby threaten to submit it to famous quote sites attributed to your name. It is too brilliant not to be shared.
I read your title & I love it, plus, I agree!
You know you're in trouble when someone says, 'This is for your own good.'
Also, never trust anyone who's first name is "Honest."
