An old couple had to spend a night with us. An interesting dialogue ensued as they lay side by side before going to sleep.
Lady : Did you brush your teeth?
Gentleman : Yes, I did.
Lady : Did you put away your wallet carefully?
G : Yes I did.
Lady : Did you count the money before folding it?
G : Yes.
L : Did you fold your spectacles, keep them in the box?
G : Yes.
L : Did you wash your dentures and put them in the toilet box?
G : Yes.
L : Did you put away the Parker pen in our suitcase?
G: Hmmmm.
L : mumble mumble mumble
G : Hmmmm.
L : mumble mumble.
G : Hmmmm.
L : Snore snore snore….
G : Hmmm.
L : …………….
G : Hmmm.
L: .................
G : Hmmm.
