A fellow gatherer opined:
Another step would be to get the percentage of women - good ones, "bad" ones, indifferent ones - just the percentage - in elected positions - up to 45%-65%. To around 50%, in other words.
See, Rosa, it's not about me judging who's good or rotten - it's about the mystery of gender balance. I trust people to perfect themselves at their own rates. They will.
I am not sure how many women are in congress now, but I saw a senate historian on CSPAN this AM, and he said that there were 6 women senators, which is the most that have been in the senate.
A woman speaker of the house could be a very interesting thing. I've read where San Francisco is a diverse Congressional District. Pelosi is a consensus finder.

Glad you're bringing this topic forward. Cheers - C
George what does your comment have to do with anything said on this article? Except that it is another chance to bash conservatives of course.
Pelosi will make a great Speaker of the House.
What is real is that as soon as we get to that important male-female balance point, some real growth is going to happen. Our society will look and feel different.
You see, I'm not promoting "female superiority" or "male inferiority" - but rather, I'm pointing out the energy potential (alchemy) of activating the "Sacred Twins."
Right now we don't need fully-developed perfection (what human being can truly judge such a thing, anyway?) - we need to activate a potential that will move us into higher-vibrational thought and activity.
