I am very fortunate to have a sister who works in the area of publishing - she's in sales, not editing/publishing or any of that stuff ...but she does have connections.
Anyway .... several weeks ago I asked her for feedback on a project I was working on - it started as a short story, but now well on its way to being a young adult novel - and without telling me first, she forwarded it to an editor at a publishing company and asked for feedback.
They liked it!
Now I HAVE to get to work on it so that I can actually submit it.... I've been so focused on school I haven't touched it in eons.... but I seem to be a ~tad~ more motivated to get back to it now :)
