Sad news, Ed Bradley has passed

Ed Bradley, the 60 minutes guy and a member of CBS news team for like 35 years passed away this morning in New York. He was battling luekemia.

He was 65 years old and I wanted to say thanks for all the great newscasting he has brought to my family and myself over the years.

Yes, I'm with you Stephanie, a truly great man and a tireless reporter. I always considered him one of the elder statesmen of news and journalism

I just got the CNN email...I didn't even realize he was ill. What a loss this is to the broadcasting community.
I could have sworn he just did 60 minutes within the last two to three weeks, so I had no clue that he was sick either, but the program could have been a repeat and I was just not paying attention.

How sad
debra, I totally agree, he was such a great fella.
that is sad. but at least he isn't hurting anymore. and he is in a good place with god.
YEah he's not suffering anymore and hopefully his family can find comfort in this fact. My heart and prayers go out to his family.

"60 Minutes" had an excellent tribute to him tonight. I especially liked the time that he interviewed Muhammed Ali, and Ali pretended he was sleeping and started boxing at Bradley! It was hilarious. Jimmy Buffett named Bradley's rocking alter ego "Teddy Badley"! It would be great to have something like a DVD with a bunch of his great news segments and interviews. What a class act! I guess next to rock and roll heaven, they now have one for journalists with him and Jennings. Thanks for bringing this to our attention -- he sure deserves the tribute!
