Donald Rumsfeld was staggered on November 8th, but he's not down for the count. This morning, less than 24 hours after he was fired for doing exactly what President Bush wanted him to do in Iraq, he announced that he has become the Secretary of Defense for Mike Tyson.
"This is a powerful man, under my management he will cakewalk through the heavy weight divisions." said Rumsfeld "He will reign freedom down on his opponents making the world a little safer." Mike Tyson stood near by chained to the floor and heavily sedated.
Tyson spoke through and interpreter, "Rummy told me that everything I was doing was just fine, I didn't have to change a thing, that's the reason I hired him, oh and because he will be my little white (mumbles)"
When a small boy in the crowd of five or six spoke during the Q & A session, Rumsfeld expressed another aspect of his management style.
Little Johnny asked "How will you keep Tyson from being the total crazed buffoon that he is?"
Rumsfeld responded in an irritated manner, "Listen, I take full responsibility for his buffoonic behavior! He is a great man and knows what he's doing! Part of my strategy to assist him in his comeback is to become a lightning rod for your criticisms you little terrorist!" With that Rumsfeld pounced on the boy and chewed his ear off.

Do you write for DC or Marvel?
Rummy has to work somewhere, doesn't? He has lots of experience managing bullies, I think this job is a perfect fit.
Oy!
Very funny Scott.
"What has happened to you "independent voters, Bret? You have voted rather overwhelmingly Democratic!!!
What are Bush and the Republicans doing wrong??"
Politically speaking, the removal of Rumsfeld completely quieted the Angry Left. He seemed to have little backing other than the President. Rumsfeld's departure should be a good thing. I'm just wondering whether the Angry Left will be pacified by this. They (you) have been calling for it for a long time. So in one sense it was a very savvy move by Mr. Bush.
In that sense, the Bush administration is doing everything right, politically speaking. Tuesday's defeat may yield positive things, after all.
You know how I voted, R.E.
Only one of my votes lost. I voted Moderate, overall...........some slightly Right, some VERY slightly Left, but mostly down the Middle.
I just hope these are the people who are actually doing the governing. And I hope the Left will be shut out. The wide Right already has been.
Good Stuff my friend!
Peace
