Question for all you group owners and moderators

Here is my question. How do you go about deleting articles from a group that you own or moderate so that the content is kept specific to that group?... I really need to weed out messages in a couple groups that I own and am searching around on how to do this, but I am coming up with nothing on how to do this.

Please help me.

I think the link is called "Edit Content". It's a very small link at the top of the page. Then you can remove the article from the group.

Ok, i really need a better explanation, Selene.. I do not see where you are talking about .. where I can go and delete articles that are sent to a group that should not have been published to the group.

Go to the Groupspace. Next to the title and author of each article is a button that says Content Settings. Click on that and you have the option of featuring the article or removing it from your group.

Do it quick! It takes a long time to delete a lot of articles, so I recommend that you get them under control before they get out of hand! I also learned that if you have a group that gets a LOT of non-content related posts, you might want to consider setting it up to have to approve content before it posts.

I agree with Jennifer you really have to stay on top of it - you might want to send out a group e mail first explaining you are cleaning things up so you don't get hurt feelings or people thinking they are being rejected

I am going to stay on top of things... and i figured it out thanks nanci.... the link was next to the article in the group area.... .. thank you all for your help

on my groups i will only cut posts that have nothing whatsover in any way have anything to do with the group.. ..

IE... quitsmoking group and an article about mypoints.. the 2 are not even remotely close..
