I am working on my NaNoWriMo novel. I just finished a really tough scene, emotionally tough. Now I have to unwind a bit before I sit and write some more.
What do you do to unwind?
I came here to read and comment. I even played some of the games, which I rarely do. I need something mindless.
How do you unwind?

BTW, I am tense when I sleep too. I wake up feeling more tired and stressed than before I slept. Strange. I should do something about that.
Yes, your stressed condition while reading my MS is really very reassuring! Go read!
The weird thing is that I have no trouble sleeping . . . it just seems to do more harm than good, for whatever strange reason.
When I wake up in the morning, I am still in the same position as when I went to sleep; sheets and blankets in the same spot. Strange, to me at least. The other night however, I woke up feeling like I had slept quite well for once, and the sheets were a mess and the blankets. I don't know what made the difference...it just did. Very strange. I should sign up for a sleep study. I see ads for them all the time. Huh. An idea!
Must be something else.
I have to do something. I am trembling. I just wrote one of the most difficult things I have ever had to write. And I am just about to fall apart.
I hit 19,449 words.
I also do classwork to relax. Sorry, I'm a nerd.
So no, you are not a nerd. I've decided to have a glass of wine and surf the net a bit then turn in with a movie.
Thank you for the suggestion, though. I do appreciate and if I could, I would read a book!
Or, I literally go out of my way and just take commuter rides to wherever--favorite transit is the jeepney (popular public mode of transportation here in the Philippines) where I just sit and see what happens next because each ride for me is a new trip to the undiscovered unknown and as soon as I become conscious of the wailing wind swooshing past the wheels, I know I am back where it all started.
