I don't have a recipe for this per se, our local pizzeria makes a cheeseburger pizza and I have tried to recreate it. Mine tastes better.
1 lb. ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 lg. clove garlic, minced
6 slices bacon, diced and cooked semi-crisp
splash worcerstershire
shredded cheese (use your favorite. I had Mexican blend so this is what I used)
splash of tomato juice (I used V-8)
1 frozen pizza dough, thawed
cornmeal (optional)
oil
Brown ground beef, drain well. Add onion and cook 5 minutes. Add garlic, cook 1 minute. Add bacon, tomato juice, worcestershire and any seasonings you like. I used salt and pepper and that was it.
Cook beef mixture about 15 minutes until nice and thick. Cool slightly.
Meanwhile, while beef is simmering, drizzle oil on a pizza pan. Sprinkle with corn meal if using. Spread dough. Spread dough with beef mixture. Top with cheese.
Variations: Add whatever you would add to a fancy cheeseburger, such as green pepper, ham, mustard, ketchup, pickles, crushed potato chips, etc.
