Republicans have already worn out the theme that the Democrats didn't win this election, the Republicans lost it.
I believe it's fair to say that I've heard this mantra eight times over the past several hours. So, apparently this election has nothing to do with the Democrats. It's all about the Republicans.
Well, if it sounds like sour grapes, looks like sour grapes and waddles like sour grapes, then it's sour grapes. But when you think about it, given the blow to their egos, maybe these nouveau losers are entitled to act like bratty children.
Actually, the theme is running neck and neck with another, related one that goes something like this: The country is still just as conservative as it has been over the past few years. This one goes on to say that the election in no way signals a return to liberalism on the part of the electorate. Rather it simply reflects, "they" say, the failures and mistakes of the Republican Party.
The term "they" in this case seems to refer to those associated with the Christian right, who evidently see their political clout disappearing faster than a tidal wave in reverse.

The spin is side splitting.
2509 voted that Repbulicans lost and 453 voted that Democrats won the election.
I doubt that this will make any difference to what Democrats do, but it might cause Republicans to return to the roots they have mostly abandoned.

The people who voted the Republicans majority into office are not traditional Republicans. They are religious conservatives who were used, by the traditional Republicans to get elected.
Yes the sour grapes are gagging a few today, how cute that they blame their own for their loss.
That guilt trip's not going to fly!!
You must be worried. The gold standard of what you call "sore losermen" was set by Democrats and their followers like you.
No matter what Republicans do, they will never, ever be able to appear as sore as you and yours. Not to worry, since they also do not have an MSM willing to trumpet their soreness to the whole world.

Thats funny :)
Balancing the most informative against the most meager, I stack some of the winners and losers of the Ohio races I paid closest attention to up like this:
Ted Strickland (D) Won
Sherrod Brown (D) Won; AND Mike Dewine (R) Lost.
Bob Shamansky (D) Lost
Betty Montgomery (R) Lost
Barbara Sykes (D) Lost
Jennifer Brunner (D) Won
Richard Cordray (D) Won
Mary Jo Kilroy (D) Lost
Joy Padgett (R) Lost
The majority of the unmentioned failed to reach me with any real meat for my political animal to gnaw and digest.

Clark - It would go right along with the "sore winner" attitudes they had before.
I don't get it.
Strickland WON because he waged the better campaign.
In the Zach Space / Joy Padgett race (Congressional District #18); Space's promotional media were mostly geared along anti-fear and anti-corruption lines (as opposed to proclaiming his values, ideals and positions). If most voters felt as in the dark about him as I did, that means his win is based more on voter's saying NO to Padgett, then saying YES to him.
