[Collaboration is the ability for multiple individuals to edit a shared on-line document]
Now, with the simple instructions below, you and other Gather members can work together on the same article!
Notes
1) All articles to be worked on collaboratively must be published within a Gather Group, and published under the name of the group .
2) Group Owners are automatically authorized to publish and edit articles under their respective group name. Group Owners may also grant this ability to any member of their group, through the Group Member Settings page.
3) Members should refrain from editing the same article at the same time, as it may yield unpredictable results.
4) Advanced permissions, like collaboration, cannot be limited to specific articles published under the name of the group. Therefore, this ability would extend to all articles published under the group name, for each group member granted these rights.
Instructions
1) Group members requiring collaboration capability, must be granted this authority by the Gather Group Owner, or a group member with advanced permissions.
On the groupspace page for your group:
a) Click on the 'Recent Group Members' heading.
b) Scroll through the group member listing until the member requiring collaboration capability is displayed.
c) Click on the 'member settings' link under the member's icon:
d) Under the 'Advanced Permissions' heading, check the small box to the left of the selection:
'Publish articles and images using the group name as the author name. All content moderators can manage and edit this content.'
e) Click 'Submit'.
f) Repeat steps b through e for each group member requiring this capability.

2) The Gather Group Owner, or a group member granted advanced permissions, must publish an article under the name of the group. You may publish a group article using the following button on the groupspace page for the group:
You may need to click on either the Featured Articles, Recent Articles, Images or Group Members headings to display the group article and image publication buttons.
That's it!
The selected group members may now work together, or collaborate, on the same group articles.
