When I was new I did not realize the button up there where it said send to everyone, selected groups, myself. I usually never clicked that. I would click just the groups I wanted to get it. I didn't know if I didn't click that send to ONLY box that everyone would actually see what I published. So If everyone would take the time to make sure that little box is checked ONLY SEND TO SPECIFIC GROUPS we wouldn't have as many people jumping down members throats who don't even realize what is happing.
Can we just be patient and help others instead of always being on the defensive. They say it takes more muscles to frown than smile so let's think of it that way. It is easier to explain to others than to jump on them right away.
Thank You If this helps one new person and spares them humiliation I did good,

I think.
You experienced this because the groups you published to may not be truly 'private' groups. Specifically, content published to those groups may not be limited to just group members. Therefore, anyone in the community can view the content.
I have been asked to write this up in an article by other members. I will see if I can get to it in the next day or so....

When publishing to a private group, you need to make certain that the group owner has chosen to keep all content restricted to group members. Otherwise, group content is public.

The problem I found is that there are about 119 members and no one rates or comments on the articles. I did send out one group email with ideas to write. I wonder why these people joined and then do not write.
I rejected a few and they complain but it is clearly spelled out that the group is private and only posted to there and not elsewhere.
