This is one of my posts from my newest rpg forum " The Dragon Wars ". My character is Wynsteria, better known as Wyn. There are three posts involved in this thread, and the post done by Eclipse, is my friend that I'm role playing with. I'm posting his part of the thread, with his premission, so that my two posts combined make more sense to those of you reading. You can find a link to the forum at the bottom of this post. This is actually part two, of the "Heart of Ice" thread. To read the first part, you may go to the following link:

Eclipse:
Eclipse tried to hastily return ro Crescent Isle to aviod contact with anyone else. He had not realized that someone had indeed beaten him there until his arrival. When he had immersed himself deep within his arctic cove, he happened upon a beautifully crafted net of vines and roses made of ice, which covered the frozen mistress.
"I was beaten here.......And she did not accept the jewel. I have failed Wyn......I have failed you, Lady Hikari.....I have failed myself."
Eclipse slowly curled himself up in front of Lady Hikari. He was tempted to leave, for he no longer found himself worthy of Hikari's presence, but he resisted, knowing that there was nowhere else he belonged.
"I tried to sell your soul to repay someone else. What kind of Dragon am I? No......I cannot even call myself one any longer. I have thoroughly disgraced all Dragons. I am nothing more than a lizard with wings, more vile than that pitiful serpent, Azul."
Little did Eclipse actually know, that the "vile" serpent was indeed closer than was expected. Azul had actually been awaiting Eclipse's return, for he was eager to get his hands on that Dragon, and the power of the jewel. And Azul somehow was able to sense how weakened Eclipse had become, for he was almost too ready to spring out and ambush the unsuspecting Eclipse.
Azul~"I see my little friend is depressed for some reason. No matter, I shall end your suffering quickly, and painfully."
Azul slowly walked his way out of the water, being so close to the ice, that it gave the illusion of him slithering. He made his way to the top of Eclipse's cave with not so much as a pin-drop of a sound escaping from his form as he moved. It was there he would patiently wait, for he knew his foe rather well, and due to that, he took the chance of getting as close as he was. Azul figured that Eclipse was too distressed to smell Azul's arrival, and he was right, for Eclipse hadn't so much as acknowledged his arrival.
Azul~"The moment you step your worthless hide out of that cavern, the fun shall begin, and that jewel, along with your cave and your life, will belong to me."
Wynsteria:
Perhaps, Azul, was not as intelligent as he thought himself to be. After all, Wynsteria had not yet left Crescent Isle. She was far too tired due to the spell that she had cast upon the frozen woman within the cave. But she also did not want to be discovered by, Eclipse. So she had buried herself beneath the ice and snow, far too deeply for anyone to sense her scent. But if Azul had been watching, he would have known a female had come to the isle, and had not been see leaving. It wasn't until he made his way to the top of the cavern. That the snow began to shift, and tumble. While she had been resting, in a deep sleep- her body had begun to change.
When she rises from the ground, and continues to rise, she starts to notice the differences. She was much more slender now, and had a far longer neck. Frowning slightly, her eyes cast about the small island. Was it something here that had done this to her, or was it her own mood that caused her appearance to change, and more importantly... would she ever look like her old self again? Turning, she stares down at her reflection in the icey waters, and cannot help but gasp softly. She looked nothing like her old self, but she had to admit... She looked beautiful, much more graceful, and feminine than she had before. Was this due to Jenessa's leaving, she lost her hardened combat like features?
That's when she hears the soft hissing voice coming from the top of the large cavern. Sniffing the air, her lips curl backwards to expose her razor sharp teeth. She knew that scent... it was the foul water beast, Azul. She moves slowly, shifting her weight with ease, to be sure that the ground does not tremble, and give away her position. Not until she's standing just a few feet behind Azul's slouching form. Once there, she lets her delicate neck tilt backwards, her head falling back into the air. When her mouth falls open, a fierce roar escapes the very depths of her throat.
There was no way Eclipse could ignore it, the roar caused the entire island to shake violently. Her claws stamp upon the ground, trying to do everything she can to get Eclipse's attention. She knew that Azul was strong, perhaps even stronger than she... but even after all that Eclipse had done to her, she could not deny she felt the need to protect him. Rushing forward, she lowers her head, using herself as a battering ram of sorts. She charges, until her head slams against Azul's side.
Eclipse:
Eclipse didn't realize how bad off he had been, until he heard a violent roar just above his head, on the outside of his cave. Shortly thereafter, he felt a large thud on the ceiling, as if something had fallen on it with tremendous force. It was then that he was jarred back into his senses, and he immediately picked up Azul's scent, and subsequently that of another. Eclipse had cursed himself for being so careless, as to let someone like Azul to get so close without his noticing.
Azul had not anticipated the presence of another Dragon ont eh small island of ice. He knew he could take this new threat, if it were a one-on-one fight, but that was not the case on this occasion. If he tried to deal with one, even if he so happened to finish it off, Azul knew that he would not have the strength to effectively overtake the other, regardless of who his first opponent was.
When Azul heard the roar of the Dragon that was dangerously close to his backside, he quickly did a 180 dogree turn. But his reaction was not soon enough, for before he could so much as finish his turn, he was rammed in his ribs with so much force that he lost his balance. Azul then tumbled along the roof of the cave until his head was dangling just above the mouth of Eclipse's home. He had a slight moment where he had panicked, with the thought of his not even making it off of this rock of ice alive, let alone with any jewel he was after. That thought was quickly dispelled when he once again realized Eclipse's emotional state.
"I'll deal with you when the time comes......" Azul hissed at Wyn.
Eclipse slowly made his way to the mouth of the cave, and was almost instantly overwhelmed with an emotion that he rarely, if ever felt.....Rage. Upon seeing Azul's ugly head dangling over the mouth of his cave, Eclipse almost mercilessly snatched the Serpent of water into his home. He had done so by clamping his jaws around Azul's neck just below the chin, and exerting so much force, that one would think that the water Serpent's head would be cleanly severed. But Azul was far more resilient than that, and Eclipse had known this.
Azul was shocked beyond belief by the strength that Eclipse had shown with his most recent action. But it had not mattered to him, for he still knew that he could best the Dragon. Upon recovering from Eclipse's rather overpowered assault, Azul managed to outmaneuver Eclipse, for his sleek frame made it easy to maneuver in the tight corridors of the cavern (At least tight when there are two giant lizards fighting inside). Azul had managed to stay a step ahead of the weary Eclipse, and was keeping a constant eye out for that other Dragon, should she decide to intervene.
Eclipse was having trouble keeping up with Azul's movements, and he came to the realization that he wouldn't survive this fight if he were to keep this up. He decided to try to take this fight to the outside world, in the hopes of scaring off Azul with the presence of the other Dragon, if she were even still there. If not, Eclipse would put up as much fight as he had left in him. Surprising enough, he had far more fight in him than he gave himself credit for, due to the fact that for every hit that Azul scored, Eclipse managed to deliver an equally forceful blow. His original plan had indeed worked, for Azul fled the island upon seeing the other Dragon still perched at the top of the cave.
Eclipse had looked back at the Dragon perched atop his home, for the first time getting a good look at it, for he had nothing but a quick glance when he first lashed out at Azul. She was indeed one of the most elegant Dragons Eclipse had seen. Little did he know that it was actually Wyn, but a bit different.
"I thank you for your assistance, but I request that you leave here and not return. I am not worthy of company such as yours, or any other Dragon's for that matter. But I do thank you again."
With that being said, Eclipse slowly made his way back to his original spot in fromt of Lady Hikari without waiting for a relpy from Wyn. He then curled himself up just as he was before their arrival, and slowly made his way off to sleep, with a small tear escaping his shut eyes and landing on his right claw.
Wynsteria:
Wynsteria was thankful that she managed to have been an assistance to, Eclipse. Though for the life of her, she couldn't understand why... For so many nights now, she had prayed that something terrible would happen, that death would be dealt to, Eclipse in one swift blow. Finally her chance had come, and not only had she alerted Eclipse to the enemy, but had attacked him, and then stuck around to make sure that Azul did not come out victorious. What had she been thinking, had she actually been thinking at all? When Eclipse turns to look at her, Wyn lowers her head slightly, a little embarassed by this new form of hers. It was sleek, and much more beautiful than her last, but she was not quite used to it. In fact, it wasn't until he spoke his words, and rushed back inside that she realized, Eclipse did not even know who she was!
Eyes going wide, she slowly walks to the edge of the cavern, still on it's icey surface. Once to the end, she sighs softly, and settles herself there atop the snowy drifts. She did not need to return home, Zila had contacted her, told her that she would watch Little Eclipse for a few days. She had also given, Wyn, the horrible news that Jenessa had vanished, and nobody could find her. Without Jenessa, and not having to be with her son. Wynsteria had no idea what to do for herself. Eclipse was the closest she had to her normal life. So she lies atop his cavern, her head resting upon her front claws. She would not sleep, she keeps her eyes open, staring towards the sea, in case Azul tries to come back after licking his wounds.
" He does not even recognize me now... "
