This group is dedicated to snark. Pure and simple. You do not have to be toothless, or a hag... but you must be grinning as you slap your subject around. NO GAMES. I will on occasion let a particularly snarky c/p joke get through if, after I read it, I find myself laughing at my monitor while yelling Snap! That is quite rare, though, so do try to stay original in your snarkiness rather than pasting email jokes.

This is a group I created when I first joined gather. It is for ex-pats who live in Scandinavia. I happen to live in Sweden, thus the name of the group, but any part of Scandinavia is fine... and as the group is designed to be mainly for advice and experiences, you really don't have to be an Amercian ex-pat to join. In fact, you may join if you just want to read the stuff posted by members. But yeah, the postings need to be about Scandinavia, or written by a Scandinavian. Confused yet? Yeah, me too. heh.

It would have been immense fun... however, the Powers That Be nixed that as harassment, the fun-sucking fiends, so this group is just kind of a catch-all for inanity in general.

The newest of the bunch so far, this group is for highlighting the artistic works of Gather members. This means paintings, sketches, sculptures, etc. I understand that your latest haiku is artistic, but there are zillion groups for that. this one is specifically for physical artwork that either you have created yourself and wish to show off, or that you have purchased from a Gather member (by a Gather member) and wish to show off. I have switched this group to Moderated to ensure that it does not become a catch-all. No offense to anyone, but it is what it is.

And there ya have it. I will likely make new groups if I see the need for one, but for now this is the it of it. Please do try to use common sense when posting to these groups. When in doubt, just see what happens to be featured to get a feel for what the group wants.
When I toss an article which has been posted to any of these groups, you will not get a cutesy little apology letter from me. I assume you know why it doesn't belong and that you just ummm accidently clicked on that group.. heh.

BTW, as to February... it looks like Lars may be coming alone at first. See, we're going to look at a house in Svalöv when we get home next month and if we decide to buy it, I'll have to stay in Sweden to get the place in order. You know how it is, I'm sure... I need the male gone in order that I may decorate as I see fit without interference. HA!
I may come across the pond for a few weeks though during his 3 month stay there...
