Class Action on Honda

If you own the following Honda or Acura vehicle, you should expect to receive information about a class action suit / settlement. I just got it last night. If you don't get it, talk to your dealer.

Honda Accord 2000-2001

Honda Odyssey 1999-2001

Honda Prelude 2000-2001

Acura 3.2 CL 2001-2002

Acura 3.2 TL 1999-2002

Acura CL 3.2 TL Type S (select VINs) 2003

Acura CL 3.2 CL (select VINs) 2003

From what I understand, there is no monetary compensation or recall. They are only going to extend the warranty on the vehicles for an extra 9,000 miles or 9 months.

However, what I am concerned is that it says, depending on how you drive, there may be problem with the automatic transmission. That sounds really horrible. I mean, what if we were driving on a highway going 65 miles per hour, and the transmission had a problem?! Maybe it's time to get a new car.

There is nothing in your article that suggests what the problem is or whether it is dangerous. Maybe it is time to find out what the issue is before jumping to conclusions.

The letter was very vague itself. All it says was that depending on how you drive, the automatic transmission may have problems.

There are other things I don't like about this car either. I am very disappointed at Accord. I bought it only becasue it had a great reputation, but that's not how I feel.
