Todays tip is a way to keep dust from settling on furniture, without furniture polish. You take 1 part liquid fabric softner to 4 parts water. You then take a clean cloth and apply it to the furniture and rub it . Then you take a clean white cloth and wipe off. Not only will it smell good, but it will keep that dust from settling and keep you from having to dust as often.

Good tip, though I'm allergic to the scent in fabric softener so this is one I can't use. There are lots of things that will also work as furniture polish/dusting. One of those, .... ready? is mayonnaise! Just a little bit and it not only dusts but shines as well, just rub gently.... and the "salad" smell goes away very quickly :)

I'm going to have to try this. I always have my windows open and it seems to me that there's dust collecting on the furniture as soon as I turn around from dusting them! Thanks for the tip!
