Years ago, expounding on a craft I saw in a magazine, I started making Thanksgiving trees each year with my children, where we each write something we are thankful for on a leaf, then tape it to the tree.
We do this each day of the week leading up to Thanksgiving and by the time the holiday arrives, we have a bountiful tree and a lot to reflect upon. It's super interesting to see what the toddlers come up with verses the older children and adults. The leaves can later be preserved in scrapbooks too.
While this tradition is a keeper, I'd also like to invite others into our home and perhaps incorporate something fun and meaningful during our yearly outing with relatives too.
What is your favorite Thanksgiving tradition? Or is there a tradition you've heard of that resonated with you?
Please share your thoughts and ideas!
