I just returned from a physical therapy session and during the grinding grueling session the young girl who was helping me out was very nervous about her cat...It seems she has an orange cat and it ran outside this morning as she left for work..Figuring she would be home before dark she would be able to bring him inside when she returned..But the owner of the center needed her to work later than usual, and now that we set our clocks back it will be darker earlier...Her worry was that last year, two people who live in Coconut Grove, not to far from her house, lost their cats last year...they just disappeared, gone, poof, just like that...she lives in a good neighborhood but not to far from one that is very questionable and the thought is these cats were taken as pranks or for something much worse.
This weekend I also read in the Miami Herald that the Humane Society would not let any black cats be adopted until the holiday is over.
I love the Halloween, it's always been a fun time for my family especially when my daughters were younger, but what is wrong with our society when people have to fear that their animals will be taken and harmed? Just because there are some wicked, stupid and nasty people out there waiting in the shadows to do harm to our beloved pets. I shudder at the thought.
Do have a Happy Halloween but be careful out there and keep your pets inside. I know mine will be! But then I stopped letting them outside long ago...

Glad you liked the photos..:)
Halloween is not a holiday I enjoy and my kids get sensory overload from those parades at school so one stayed home today.
As I say we are not crazy people living in a normal world but yet normal people try-ing to survive in a CRAZY world...
