Ouija Boards and Supernatural on Halloween

Halloween is here.  How many of you tonight are going to messing around with the supernatural. 

There are many ways of trying to see or contact the dead.  Ouija Board, Haunted houses, Seances etc...  

I have lived in Haunted houses, so those are spooky even when it's not Halloween.  I have never been to a Seance, but I have messed with a Ouija board once at a cousin's house.

So, now is the time to get your writing skills in gear and publish tales of when you used a Ouija Board or conducted a seance...

I want to hear your tales.

Trish, I know you read my series about Living With Ghosts. I actually had a group of girlfriends that wanted to do a seance in my house to call Mrs. Greer up. After a bottle or two of wine, 4 of us sat in the circle. While the other 3 tried to call up my ghost, I was busily pushing her OUT of my house through my mind. They'd say "Oh, Mrs. Greer. Please show your presence to us." In my head, I was saying "Mrs. Greer, stay the hell away. Stay wherever you are." They hadn't experienced her. I had. I had no desire to have her show up again. One woman brought over a Ouija board and I wouldn't let her bring it in the house. Amusing for THEM, but I had to sleep in that house when they left.

you are very right... and some teachings from my native history is that you dont mess with the spirit world if you have been drinking or are under the influence of drugs.... you can bring in the wrong spirit and not the one you are trying to.

Being the grandaughter of a full-blooded Cherokee woman has shaped many of my policies, if you will, regarding issues with the supernatural. I will not allow a seance, an ouiga board, or tarot cards in my home. I won't stay in a home that has an ouiga board or tarot cards in it, nor will my children, and we can always tell.

I have a ghost in my house now. She's a little girl, with waist length black hair and a long-sleved, high-necked, gorgeous whie dress with lace trim. She comes from the dining room, which was originally the kitchen, and goes around the corner into th entryway. I've seen her, my grandaughter has seen her, and several of my friends have seen her. My dogs see her and play with her sometimes. She doesn't bother anything, with the exception of occasionally knocking something off a counter and we don't bother her.

wow.. i am the same way as you dee... no ouija boards in this house... we dont do tarrot cards either.. and a seance is just out of the question.

The last time I touched a Quija board I was a teenager. We would get together and play the Quija board, the only time that thing moved was when one of us took the supernatural into our own hands. I stay away from such things now.

I don't touch those boards, I dont want any doors open that I might not be able to close. Years ago my daughter played with one and we had alot of activity.

OUIJA BOARDS ARE VERY DANGEROUS.

I will not touch a Ouija board after using one at band camp at 17. A bad entity got through, scared us all half to death, and it was that week at camp when I came down with chronic fatigue syndrome (hit with a bad case of mono that never went away).

The entity started out nice but by the end of the week started telling us to kill ourselves. It was supposedly a girl in the dorm who had killed herself. We tested it - it new stuff about people we had no way of knowing.

My band director (who was a devout Christian) thought that the Ouija board brought in an evil spirit that got me sick; I kind of agree with him, as weird as that sounds.

As for tarot - they aren't dangerous, I use them all the time without any problem. But I'm not trying to connect with any "Satanic" forces either...just my higher self.

Wow Steph....... your story is the reason I wont touch them.. I am too afraid of them... and I just have never had the chance to experience tarrot cards.

I have a board, but I spent last night alone, and I know it's not a great idea to use when you're by yourself...i've used it on many occasions with several different people...it can be fun, but I have been scared a time or two....I live in a haunted apartment, and I know i've seen other spirits around....everyone could if they waned to...unfortunately last night was quit here in that way....nothing unusual..

Ouija boards are dangerous -- I wouldn't use one. Haven't for years. I am a psychic medium and I use prayer and meditation as my methods.

I have contact with spirits often as does my husband. He doesn't want to - he says he has no interest in it.

I grew up in a haunted house - it was scary as hell!!! I hate when things happen at night - if you want to talk or float through do it when the sun is out please !!! LOL!!! That is my rule - of course the spirits don't listen and I end up scared most of the time...

We played around with the supernatural in school and then it was banned as we had some realy weird things going on

No Ouija board here either. I am a sensitive and every time we pulled the board out (when I was a teenager of course) it just got weird. It actually predicted the future a couple of times for us, or at least we really do believe it did. We also retrieved a spirit from London who was murdered while walking down the street. He was stabbed and robbed. He never has caused me any problems that I know of, but it scared the poopoo out of us when the board started moving on its own! Never have touched it since.

The last time I had a chance to use the Oujia Board, was in 1988. I was pregnant with my last child.
The doctor said she was to be born on April 30.
I was at a friends house. And we got to messing around with the board. I asked was I going to have a boy or girl.
It said boy.
Then when I asked the date it kept going to the 13th.

Well on April 12, I had a doctors appointment. My kidneys weren't doing well, toxins and all. So he wanted to do a C section.

So on April 13, 1988 I had a boy,. =) The Ouija Board was right.

Personally, I won't touch a Ouija board with a 30 ft. pole. Too easy to let the wrong things in.
