Last weekend we decided to go to Xela (Quetzaltenango), because we wanted to go svim in a hot spring just outside town. The bustrip was horrible, the bus was supposedly of better standard, but the engine was loud and the driver annoying, he kept his foot on the gas pedal and pushed it every other second, so it felt like we were on boat. I felt almost sea sick.
This bus trip usually takes about 5 hour, but since hurricane Stan the roads has been smashed up, and there is road work every where. Therefore we were had to wait some 45 minutes to pass the road work, because only one lane was drivable.
It's so teadious waiting, so finally we got up and got out of the bus, and just ahead of us was a minivan filled with people who also got out, they were all dressed in there local costume, the red pants, the white shirts with embroidery, the hat and the traditional bag.
I didn't have my camera on me, and anyway I'm not that good at taking pictures of people without asking, but I had my cell phone on me, and I could descretely takes som pictures. They certainly made the waiting a little easier, and finally the line started to moved, and we jumped back on the bus, and after 7 hours in a bus, we arrived to Xela, and I had a bad case of dirrhea. Just peachy, well, I could thank my darling sister for being "the mum" and sending some natural yoghurt stomach pills with me, so I took them and we could get on with our stay.

Waiting for a sign to continue
