So, we went to Steak and Shake yesterday. I wasn't going to go back. To be honest, I was still mad about them screwing up my coupons a few months ago, but the kids wanted Halloween milkshakes and we were looking for something a little different. I had a sore throat. I was thinking Bob Evans and a nice hot bowl of soup. But the kids won, as usual.
So we go to Steak and Shake and they finally hit their pinnacle. They got every single one of our orders wrong. Mine was wrong twice, so they really overdid themselves. They didn't even put the toppings on the burgers that they had asked us specifically what toppings we wanted.
So, when we left they asked my husband how it was, and he told them. He was very polite about it. In fact, he was more polite than I would have been. We sat there for 10 minutes before even getting waited on. I was close to leaving. Then they acted upset at us that they got our order wrong. So, Kevin just honestly told them he was dissatisfied and that we had a long wait time and our orders were messed up. They didn't even offer him a discount or anything.
A similar thing happened in Roadhouse several years ago. Only, it was just the time factor and not the messed up order factor. The manager came over and gave us our dinners for free because she felt they'd taken too long.
In the future, you can guess where we will be going, and where we will not be going.

He's been raised better than that, and he has no problem educating people about disability etiquette.
1) they lost our orders, then got them wrong (guess I should have known then?)
2) they were incredibly busy. Not with food customers, but with people running in and out of the parking lot making drug deals.
The only potentially-redeeming thing about it was a cute couple sitting at the next table. Unfortunately, all the butch guys could talk about (and I'm not kidding you here) were their "pink poodles."
If we're ever in need of poor service, dime bags, or advice on poodle grooming, we'll know where to go.
