Hello all. After I finally took my leave from Gather this morning, I decided to dig my sewing machine out. Hubby and I had moved a bunch of stuff in the living around so I could get to it, so I got it oiled about a week ago. Ii had to move some more stuff and rearrange the machine so it faced the TV, nearer to the light. After all, one has to have light if they want to see what the heck they are sewing!
Anyways, I managed to whipped up four blankets. One angel blanket is going to my best friend's grandaughter for Christmas. One will be going to another friend of mine, I just haven't decided which one. The wolves with the deer (her house is decorated with deer) or the country looking one (her house is very country)! The last one is also of an angel which my brother-in-law fell in love with. I guess if I draw his name on Thanksgiving day, that will be his Christmas present.
I even managed to do the mending that had sat around for a couple of years, or so it seemed.
I still have to sew four pillows out of fleece, but I only have two pillow forms and two zippers. What a terrible dilemma! I try to make my girls about the same thing since they live in different states. Both have their bedrooms done in leopard print, so I bought fleece to match. I might just cheat and make them each one pillow and use the rest of the fleece for a scarf or something.
I also need to finish up the little fleece jacket that I started for my grandaughter a year ago. Hmm...she wears a between a size 2T and a 3T and I am making a size 4. I'd rather it be to big than too small! She will grow quickly.
I also have a pattern cut out for a teddy bear for her. (The last one I made I sent my daughter in FL as she collects teddy bears, but to me it looked more like a mouse! LOL) I will take these last two projects to my best friend's house sometime this weekend and make her dig out her sewing machine. It is time she got started on the pajamas she started last year for Christmas! LOL
I have so much fabric and no place to cut it out. I may have to drag up a folding table and lay it across my bed just to be able cut out my patterns. Hmm...I wonder...

This comment and rating of your older gather content was an idea Steve the Legend had on how to give a Christmas gift to our Gather connections. He posted an article with the suggestion to go back and check out older content from some of our connections. You are the 20th connection I have done this with so far. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas Michelle!
