"Pssst, my friend, you want Rolex? I give good price." To my utter astonishment, I saw a wee Chinese gnome peek out from the bushes. Could it be? My long lost brother? I'd never seen a Chinese gnome before. He dangled an assortment of shiny gold watches. You know I'm a sucker for shiny things so I said," Nihao." (That's 'how are you' in Chinese.) He replied, "henhao, very good but I speak English." I could have jumped to the moon with excitement. When I first noticed the mark " Made in China" stamped on my foot, I knew I needed to go to China to find my roots. His beard quivered. "You buy? Yes? I take you to nice place." I couldn't resist a bargain. Only $50.00 for a gold Rolex and how could I say no to a drink with my Chinese gnome brother? We walked arm in arm down a tangle of narrow streets. The bright lights of my hotel had faded in the distance. "How much farther? I asked, growing drowsier by the second. That last beer left a bitter taste in my mouth. The colored lights blurred. The next thing I knew, I blacked out. When I came to I found myself imprisoned in some kind of enclosure. All the money in my pocket and my new Rolex were gone. A short distance away, under a bamboo tree, I heard the Chinese gnome talking to someone on a phone. " Yes, I have him. When will you transfer the rest of the money? Swiss bank account? You get here soon? Xiexie, Mr. Merlin." Cold panic enveloped me. The mere mention of Merlin, the killer cat's name left me paralyzed. I heard the Chinese gnome say something else in Chinese but I blacked out again. To be continued...

Trevor- Of course Gnomes and Cats cannot peacefully co-exist.
Gnomes are inherently evil, no matter what they might want to have you think.
Cats are the guardians of the universe. You had best be careful who you refer to as evil, my friend, unless you think, in your extreme folly, that you are safe from retribution.
CATS RULE---GNOMES DROOL !!! Merlin WILL prevail.
Gotta go make another deposit in that Swiss Banque account. TTFN ;-)
;)
Or not.
