yeah!!!!! I have been on here for almost 2 months and at last I have exactly 1,001 points! Wow! Now for another 2,000 and I can get my B&N gift card, right? Don't worry now, I am not going to publish articles asking for points. ;-) But if you want to comment and help me out some, I won't argue or put up a fight.

Hey, I am just here for the fun of meeting other people and reading content and occasionally publishing a story or two.

You can already get a BN gift card if that's what you want. The 3,000-point thing is for the $50 cash. You can get a $10 BN GC at 625 points and $25 BN GC at 1575 points.

The 3,000 points to be converted to a cash rewards thing I think needs to be earned in a single calendar month. The best way to do that is by publishing alot of articles. And not so much reading other people's content.

Congratulations! I also passed the 1000 point mark this past week after a couple of months on Gather. I don't post a lot so the points don't add up very fast.

I don't know how people have time to be able to get the cash out thing. Maybe I am the only one on here who has to leave to go to work, but I hardle ever have time to write. I spend so much time reading articles and commenting, that my kids are getting mad at me for not letting them on the computer. LOL

Thanks to everyone. I wasn't necessarily looking to accumalte alot of points with this article, but it is encouraging to know there are some out there who don't mind sharing a nice opinion to add to points. And helpful info. I didn't realize I could get a gift card. So, now I have one on its way to me! Yay!!!!

Sandra L., fer real!!!! I was out of town for the weekend, and by the time I get through all my emails I don't have time to Gather, other than responding to messages or commenting, like this. ...And I don't work right now, but I stay busy enough with three kids that computer time is a luxury.
