This is from the whole avocado itself.
Avocado Moisturizing Recipe #1
Avocado is a naturally rich moisturizer. Mash the meat of the avocado into a creamy texture. Massage into the face and neck . Leave on for 15 minutes and gently rinse off.
Avocado Moisturizing Recipe #2 (the one I now use)
1/4 cup Avocado Butter, which is a soft-solid butter, made from pressing the avocado.
Rub it into your face and neck, leave it on as long as you'd like - you'll know by the feel of your skin. Lots of it will sink in and stay there. Gently rinse off whatever doesn't.
*The second one can be used as part of a gift package, with other handmade things, as it's a natural butter, fill a jar with some, put the directions on it and label. Tie a ribbon around the jar and a soft washcloth.

What a great tip! I love this.
I know avacado oil is wonderful for skin...thanks for the recipe, Marilyn. I'll try it.
Tea tree is a great shampoo, but I'm a little sensitive to it, and I do NOT like the smell. Mark uses it sometimes, but he's been using the patchouli (one of my favorites) that I mixed up.
Mark's face with the cold weather change is getting irritated as well, so I've been fooling with different lotion recipes and I think... I've got it narrowed down to one. I'll post it if he likes it and it works. I've already made it in another formulation and that one is good, but better for the hands, and he wants spearmint. Whatever!
Take your time. :D
If it's dandruff and not another skin condition, this is going to sound REALLY weird, but it works. Tell your daughter not to use *any* shampoo or condioner. Nothing. Everytime she washes her hair and she should do it as usual, use ONLY baking soda. For a few weeks.
First, her scalp will "seem" dryer, then the natural elements in baking soda will allow her scalp to produce its own natural oils and with dandruff, it'll clear it up. After that, only use her shampoo (and I'd switch if she hasn't already to a natural glycerine one, like Dr. Bronners ), and only use that every other time she washes her hair - the baking soda the alternate times.
Everyone that's used it that I know of, that's actually "had" dandruff and not another skin problem and there are many of those too, it's worked on, though she probably won't like it at first - -- get the baking soda right in the grocery store and keep a shaker bottle of it in the shower---have her wet her hair and massage it into her scalp (no shampoo, JUST the baking soda) for about 3 weeks, then see how it does w/the shampoo and the baking soda alternated. If this does not work, it's not dandruff. :)
If I can resist eating it I will try this.
