I wake up
to a heart
that isn't mine.
Longing to blow
spirits of healing
courage and wisdom,
I pray'd for
a "break" through.
Patch'd it with
hope and support.
Tears fall from
pent up walls
of contained confusion.
Wish'd I'd intervene;
yet KNOWing only
LOVE that's divine
could cradle each
and every drop.
Am I loving
from a distance?
I remember words
of wisdom served
in my direction:
the best way
to change the
world starts with
changing one's self.
Thus, the foothold
of caution braces
me against tempting
winds of intrusion.
I pray'd for
a "break" through.
Inspiration through example:
insight bred experience.
Retrospect paves ways
for eternal introspect:
all the pain,
suffering, loneliness, persecution,
tears, strain, stress,
humiliations, heartaches, mistakes,
with many missteps.
Each moment guards
sense of SELF
by drawing out
our desperation for
MERCY and GRACE.
Be very PATIENT,
especially with yourself.
For the gifts
you possess are
simply stars sparkling
in velvet darkness.
Live and love
LIFE that way.
Those tears having
shatter'd the walls
of your heart ---
making room for
who you are.
Simple truths are
tough to swallow.
No longer do
I doubt intuition.
Sooner than later,
what was a mere
thought, comes fruition.
You'll see soon.
I pray'd for
a "break" through.
