Lilly mixes business with pleasure when her boyfriend, Joseph, asks her to re-open the 2003 case involving an autistic boy named Brent who witnessed his parents' murder. TVPG-LV
Since this airs the same time as Desperate Housewives I am not sure I will tune in, but at least my son will be going to bed at that time and not in the room to view this episode.
I have never watched this show, which is usually how I come to view autism related episodes of various shows. A few years ago it was an episode of Without A Trace. That was about a boy with autism who got lost during a field trip to a museum. The first season of The Closer focused on someone with autism as well.Â
Supernanny and Extreme Home Makeover showcased autism in a more positive role. I have a feeling curiousity will get the best of me so more than likely I will start off watching the show to see how the child's autism is portrayed.Â
For those interested in the premise of this show you might want to check into the movie starring Bruce Willis entitled, Mercury Rising. This was an action packed movie with an autistic boy witnessing the murder of his parents.Â
I have viewed it several times and taped it from a lifetime tv airing. Here is a review on the movie to see if this is something to get from Netflix or Block Buster:

I would suggest newly diagnosed families not view these types of movies and episodes, since they are focusing on tragedy involving the autistic characters.
Is anyone planning on watching the Cold Case episode? Feel free to post your impressions of the show here after watching it Sunday night.
