Andrew is now 8 months old. He is learning so many new things. One of the words he is learning (and I am forever saying) is "NO!" It is amazing how many times it actually works. He will reach for something and the word "no" stops him. He will pinch or bite and "no" loosens his grip/clamp. But he also has learned to pout - it is soooo cute.
Today, he was lying on my stomach and was reaching toward my face. As he touched each feature, I would give him the names: ear, eyes, mouth, etc. When he reached for my nose, I said, "nose." Immediately, he pulled away and pooched out his little bottom lip. He reached a second time, and I repeated the word and got the same reaction. But, he wouldn't draw back when reaching for my eyes or mouth or ear.
He wasn't hearing "nose" rather he was hearing "no!"
