According to newspapers in Orlando, the Villas at Animal Kingdom Lodge will be the next Disney Vacation Club Resort, possibly opening the first phase in late 2007. No official confirmation or announcement has been made by Disney yet, but this is the first rumor in a long line of DVC rumors that appears to have some truth to it. Previous speculations included Comtemporary Resort Villas and Disneyland DVC.
The recent member offer of $15 off of a minimum of 115 points at Saratoga Springs Resort and the return of the $15 off of points referral offer for new members may be a possible sign that a new DVC is on the way. Saratoga Springs Resort is almost completed but not yet sold out, so those interested in purchasing points at SSR may find last minute deals when the announcement and point selling begins for the Villas at Animal Kingdom Lodge, which is sure to be popular.
