thanks for the compliment--
just look above to see what I mean. I can't send the signals to the hands properly any longer and the letters frequently get reversed
and gather doesnn't help, either with its jumpy text boxes
"Mary - what kind of camera do you use? Once again I am entranced by the degree of detail in your photos."
a very unreliable camera--
go to betterphot.com
and browse through galleries that you like. On the top is a tab: Contest on far right top menu, pull it down and you see "recent entries. Click it and it will open to the nweest submissions in all catagories. At the top across the screen you will see the different catagories listed. If you have FF, you can right-click and open the catagories you want to study in different tabs or windows. With every entry, you will find the photographer's camera listed--and all those cameras have reviews attached to them. If you're looking for a camera for micros, hit the micro contest and then just start browsing the images. you can read camera reviews and contact the photographers, if you wish.
is a nice site and good place to list your images.
gather crashed very badly and has been putting up rather boring operating code instead of articles-- and so the site was accessible, but read only of Apache error codes.
thanks to the techies who someohow managed to reload this page and hopefully Liz Soares will no longer be suffering either.
I also encountered the Gather stuff up - images and emails loaded but articles were just masses of that dreadful code. So I switched off the computer for some hours.
"I tried to get a simple shot of a bird the other day and ran myself ragged trying to get that little beast. Every shot was a blur!! "
I just don't let you see the blurs!!! I have them too-- and from birds, so I gave up on them. You have to set the shutter speed very high like 1/700 and above and in addition to that have incredible stealth tactics or hang from yur toes in trees.
I should put up some blurrss some time-- train-blurrs are great-- big biG BLURRS
2006-10-08 srbsko 5492 or wahtever-- so I couldn't think of much but the ever-ready trite cliche. and that there is tautology
Just checking in from Guatemala. I haven't been able to capture any butterflies here, but there sure are some beuatiful species here. But the simply fly by, they don't seem to stop. maybe they are camera shy. I love your picture and I'm so happy for you, being selected for picture of the day. Keep them coming, you're the best! Hugs Mona
thanks again--struggling with internet crashes and czech servers. the combination isn't so great, plus add the big bad bill with his 24 patches to the mess adn you have calamity over here.
thanks-- cook that turkey for me, will ya? the roadkill kind.
