My First Trip To Cambria

Cambria, California is a beautiful place to visit. It is close to Hearst Castle and San Luis Obispo,( another nice beach town). We stayed at an inn called The Sea Otter Inn. It was very affordable and right across from the beach. There is an East Village and a West Village with plenty of cool shops to visit. Also, you can drive a little ways towards Vista Point and see the sea lions on the beach. Some good places to eat are Madeline's, Robin's, Moonstone Beach Bar and Grill and Lin's Bin. Lin's Bin had a fire and is currently being rebuilt. I've heard it has really good food, baked goods and a gift shop. They are in the process of rebuilding. It's only 3 hours away from Fresno and a really good place to go to get out of town. I didn't even get mad when my girlfriend ran down my car battery by leaving the headlights on or when she drove us a mile out of our way. I guess I had a pretty good time. If you get the chance to go I highly recommend it.

I've seen Hearst Castle from PCH, but never been. Love that area of California.

Thanks for the reccomendation. Hopefully, someday, I'll actually get to see our country. I definatly want to see California. I lived there when I was a small child, but I don't remember it.

Another interesting thing in Cambria is NIT WIT RIDGE. It is a house that was built with odd things like bottles and other "junk". I don't think you can actually go in it, but we drove by and took a picture... I'll post it in the Roadside Wonders... group one of these days =)

Cambria is a beautiful place, one of my favorite.
And Jim, "I didn't even get mad ......a mile out of our way" When you can say that about 10 miles, then you know it's love!
